A Handful of Blessings

This has been a hard week, but it’s coming to a close. When we say we have a mixed bag of blessings, at the end of the day, we still have blessings even though they’re peppered with more difficult moments. I’m recovering from a surgery I had yesterday, and my throat is hurting like a mfkr after anesthesia, but I can still enjoy coffee and my favorite Russian chocolate.🍫

With everything that has happened to me in the past 2.5 years, and every single time I thought my body betrayed me, this week I want to be in gratitude to my body and thank it for all its innate wisdom and strength for pulling me through every single health challenge I’ve been through in my life and for providing me with 13 years of being cancer free. As every new day comes, some old or new health issue rears its head, but somehow I still manage to ride each wave and stay afloat.

I had my big cancer screening check up earlier this week, and I’m all clear and still in remission! 🙏 I’m happy and grateful to round up my “baker’s dozen” year!! 🎉
