I is for Imagination

Logic is steadily getting me from A to Z in this blogging challenge: I follow daily format, write a short but appropriate post and link a recipe that I think is relevant to the day’s theme.

Imagination is taking me out of this familiar path and into a realm where I let go of the old construct and fly free.

To a distant observer, my life may seem like it’s plucked from a Jane Austen novel:  I get up and put a pretty dress on, meddle in people’s lives and then write and bake some cupcakes.

In reality, in a span of one day, I can be a character in every possible fiction genre, from the soppy romantic novel to a full blown drama with intermittent comedic interludes and occasional horror jump-ins. Take your pick who you want me to be.

So to deal with it all, I have to become who I want to be – a fairy…

Put yourself where YOU want to be, a garden, a beach, a magical forest…

All you have to do is sprinkle some fairy glitter and you will become one…

I can finally let my red hair out and be bold and fearless and full of magic…

image

I can put my prettiest dress on and know that I’m beautiful…

image

I can be curious and make friends with whomever I want…

image

I could be a warrior or a peace keeper, whatever I need to be as the land requires…

image

I could be sad or grief stricken, whatever emotion comes, I won’t run away but accept it…

image

I could be vulnerable and soul-naked and know that whoever is holding me, will not let me down…

image

And if I look deep inside my own eyes, I’ll see that the fairy wings are coming out right now…

When times get hard, I let my imagination overtake me…

image

Believe in magic and meet me in the fairies world…

I is for imagination, for using it in the kitchen too, and for making this “inside out” recipe
